Inizia il 1971 un anno non necessariamente importante
a livello commerciale e di arrivo del successo, ma determinante per
i Pink Floyd, per la loro musica ma anche per se stessi.
Si sta evolvendo qualcosa nei loro corpi
e nella loro mente, Roger Waters incomincia a capire la direzione che
si sta lentamente incamminando verso un punto
di traguardo.
Con una serie di prove e richieste nasce MEDDLE.
I due brani più significativi, "one

Floyd, con i Tangerine Dream, furono l'unico gruppo non di musica classica
invitati a suonare.
Fu trasmesso alla radio austriaca e dal canale TV Bayerischer Rundfunk,
nel corso di "Musikforum Ossiachersee";
Alla fine di quell'anno venne pubblicato un triplo LP del festival,
OSSIACH LIVE (BASF 4921119-3); per motivi contrattuali, però,
i Pink Floyd ne rimasero esclusi.
